On October 1, 2024, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University launched the project “Center for Open Science in Modern Materials Science at Precarpathian National University” (PNU-OpenLab) within the framework of the European Commission grant HORIZON-INFRA-2023-EOSC-01-01 – Build on the science cluster approach to ensure the uptake of EOSC by research infrastructures and research communities within the initiative of the 1st Open Call for Projects and Services in the field of Open Science OSCARS.
Today, an orientation workshop was held with the project team:
Volodymyr Kotsiubynskyi, Head of the Department of Materials Science and New Technologies at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University,
Valentyna Yakubiv, Professor of the Department of Management and Business Administration at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University,
Volodymyra Boichuk, Professor of the Department of Materials Science and New Technologies at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University,

The PNU-OpenLab project, hosted at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University (PNU), aims to serve as a central hub for advanced research on materials for energy and life sciences. It seeks to expand access to cutting-edge research tools for Ukrainian scientists, with the possibility of future integration into the Central European Research Infrastructure Consortium (CERIC-ERIC). PNU-OpenLab includes existing facilities, such as PNU-NanoLab, which focuses on nanotechnology, and PNU-FabLab, a space designed to foster practical learning and prototyping. Together, these labs aim to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration and promote open access to advanced technology, tools, and expertise.
